Integrated SEO

SEO Strategy

SEO or Search Engine Optimization can be one of the most confusing terms and service offerings a business looks for. Many people and practices use these terms to identify their services.

At Cultural Buzz Public Relations, we define SEO and SEO Strategy separately. SEO, or Search Engine Optimization is the tactical, back office modifications done to a website (meta tags), content tweaking (front office) and the Directory Build so that your customers can find you via search on the Internet. The result would be what is referred to as an organic search. This is different from Ads, for example, Google Ad Words, which is a PPC (pay for click) business model.

Strategic SEO is the integration of SEO as defined above, as a part of the defined strategic marketing statement. The defined strategic marketing mission is derived from the client’s business mission. The integration aspect relates to employing SEO and SEO principles and tactics into the various points of communication on the marketing communications messaging map.

A Marketing Communications Messaging map basically looks at the major points of communications that a business has with their targeted audience. For some companies, these points are offline, such as directly in front of their audience, as in the case of product demonstrations where the consumer’s direct product involvement is requisite.

For online integration, this usually includes at minimum, being found on the internet via key search terms. In order to do this effectively, there are a number of methodologies involved. Some of these methods will build branding via your website SEO, others will build branding via Ad Words, and/or by the utilization of Social Media, or all of the above.
